Civil Society Proposals for Land Reform in Cameroon : Assessment of the existing legislation
Following the instruction of the President of the Republic of Cameroon on land reform in 2011, civil society organisations had the opportunity to submit their contributions to the content of the reform. The analysis of their proposals reveals its interest in issues related to the reform process, the recognition of land rights. However, contradictions have emerged in the proposals, due to the lack of coordination between the various actors.
The LandCam project saw this as an opportunity to strengthen the coherence of civil society proposals and to complete them in order to cover all the issues that would allow in-depth land reform. The objective of this study is to compile and analyse civil society proposals for land reform.
